Thank you for your interest in the U.S. Service Academies. As your Member of Congress, I have the privilege of nominating talented young people to attain a world-class education and officer training at four of the five Service Academies:
- U.S. Air Force Academy (USAFA)
- U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA)
- U.S. Military Academy (USMA)
- U.S. Naval Academy (USNA)
The honor of attending a Service Academy comes with an obligation and commitment to serve as an officer in the military for a minimum of five years upon graduation. For a full description of the necessary requirements, carefully review the webpage of each Service Academy in the links above.
Applying to the Service Academies includes all of the steps of involved in applying to any other college, but also includes securing a nomination and demonstrating your physical fitness.
First, you must submit an application directly to the Service Academy, followed by requesting a nomination to the Service Academy from my office. If you have not submitted an application to the Service Academy, please do so before continuing. You may apply for and request nomination to one or multiple Service Academies. More information on requesting a nomination to the Service Academy from my office can be found on here.
If you’re not a senior, but have an interest in applying for a Service Academy nomination in the future, download our 2024 interest form here.
To begin the process of requesting a nomination to the Service Academy from my office, or to attend our virtual information session on May 23, please email Landsman.ServiceAcademies@mail.house.gov.
