Landsman Announces 2023 Congressional Art Competition

Cincinnati, OH – Today, Congressman Greg Landsman (OH-01) announced his office is accepting submissions for the 2023 Congressional Art Competition.

The Congressional Institute sponsors a nationwide high school visual art competition each spring. The goal is to recognize and inspire artists across the nation and in each Member’s district.

High school students in the 1st Congressional District are encouraged to submit artwork.

“There is so much young talent in the Cincinnati-area,” said Rep. Landsman. “This competition gives young artists an opportunity to be featured on a national level. I cannot wait to see what types of unique and special artwork the youth in our area create!”

Our office is only accepting digital submissions (JPEG and PNG format). The deadline is April 1st, 2023.

Team Landsman gathered a group of local artists to act as judges and select a winner. That student will be recognized in the district and at an annual awards ceremony in Washington, DC. The winning work is displayed for one year at the U.S. Capitol.

Since the Artistic Discovery competition began in 1982, more than 650,000 high school students have participated.

Read the rules and submit an application here.
