Landsman Joins Bipartisan Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder Task Force

Cincinnati, OH – Today, Congressman Greg Landsman (OH-01) released the following statement announcing he has joined the House BipartisanMental Health and Substance Use Disorder Task Force.

“Addiction and mental health crises continue to leave lasting impacts on families and communities across the nation. We are dealing with a serious epidemic.

“Thousands of Ohioans are dying every year from drug overdoses. It’s time to take action. 

“Addiction resources and mental health services need to be more accessible for those struggling. Joining the Bipartisan Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder Task Force will allow us to keep up with the latest research and address the public health crisis.”

The Bipartisan Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder Task Force works to address the addiction epidemic, as well as the interconnectedness of substance use disorder and mental health. Its goals are to hear from experts through discussions and events, shine a light on these issues to increase awareness and fight stigma, and push for the enactment of meaningful legislative solutions.
