Landsman Lays Out Comprehensive Plan to Rebuild America and Fix What’s Broken
Cincinnati, OH –This week, Congressman Greg Landsman (D-OH-01) announced he released his “Pledge to America” – an op-ed laying out a clear blueprint for his Democratic colleagues to fix what’s broken and deliver for hardworking Americans.
Landsman shared a vision for his Democratic colleagues in a newly published op-ed for U.S. News & World Report. In his “Pledge to America,” Landsman lays out a clear plan for Democrats to fix what’s broken – focusing on strengthening the economy and improving public safety.
Landsman also released a detailed plan outlining 10 concrete bills his Democratic colleagues should be fighting for, including changes to the tax code, investments in housing, and lowering prescription drug costs for seniors. They are all designed to fix what’s broken and deliver real results for everyday Americans.
Congressman Landsman’s op-ed reads, in part:
“What Democratic lawmakers need is a clear and compelling roadmap for the future – a change agenda that differs clearly from the path set by Trump and congressional Republicans. To reestablish ourselves as the commonsense, anti-establishment alternative, we should embrace economic populism…
“That means overhauling our system by fixing the tax code so it rewards working families, small businesses, and farmers – not the wealthiest people in America.
“We also need to offer moderate and straightforward solutions to improve government by focusing on core services and ending corruption. We should prioritize public safety, border security, immigration reform and a strong national defense.”
