Cincinnati, OHToday, Congressman Greg Landsman released the following statement on the one-year anniversary of the October 7th terror attacks, when Jews were brutally murdered and kidnapped in Israel:

A year ago today, we awoke to the worst attack on Jews since the Holocaust.

Footage of the Hamas terror attack, particularly of children being gunned down, will be etched in my brain forever.

And while there is war now, we know that peace must follow.

Sinwar, the leader of Hamas, has yet agree to a second ceasefire agreement. It’s believed he has many of the remaining hostages with him.

I hope Sinwar changes his mind, but the hostages must be returned home no matter what. Every single one of them.

Iran has funded Hamas and Hezbollah, fueling terror and chaos on every side of Israel.

Their goal: the destruction of Israel and the extinction of Jews.

The path forward must be one that leads to a future without Hamas, a global community standing against Iran, and the hostages returned.

Free the hostages. End the suffering of innocent Palestinian civilians. Dismantle Hamas. Return Gaza to the Palestinian people. Pursue a lasting peace.
