Landsman Statement on State of the Union Address

Cincinnati, OH – Today, Congressman Greg Landsman (OH-01) released the following statement on President Biden’s State of the Union address.

“The president urged Congress to cap the cost of insulin for children tonight. This is our first bill, and our guest was Cincinnati 7th grader Isaiah Gentry who has Type 1 Diabetes.

“Isaiah was here as a reminder that we must finish the job, and cap the cost of insulin for all Americans, especially our children. Our effort to do so will be bipartisan and critical to helping thousands of children and families in the First Congressional District.

“From fixing our broken economy and getting wages up and costs down, to tackling gun violence, strengthening our democracy, and restoring essential freedoms – there are big tasks ahead. We must do it together, Democrats and Republicans.

“Oh, and having Saria Gwin-Maye from Ironworkers Local 44 in the Chamber was beyond cool. We’re going to finally get our bridge done.”
